STAR OF THE WEEK  

Theme Enjoyment 

 

Ash Class- Year 1 Mrs Lucas 

River 

River enjoys school and always tries her best, despite finding some areas of the curriculum challenging. This week, she has particularly impressed me when learning about length and height in maths. She is now beginning to use the correct maths vocabulary when comparing length and height and can use a ruler to measure. Well done River! 

Fir Class- Year 1 Miss Smith 

 

Melody- Rose  

Melody has been trying so hard in all lessons. She has thoroughly been enjoying our maths sessions recently and she likes to sing the ‘number bonds to 10’ song. Melody has also improved with her handwriting and she has been trying hard with her spelling. Keep up the great effort Melody, well done! 

 

Elm Class – Year 2 Miss Fazal 

Rosa  

Rosa is a supportive member of the Elm Class. She is always eager to help her friends and involves herself in whole class and group discussions. She is an incredibly determined member of the class and shows enthusiasm throughout everything that she does. Rosa always tries her best and has a positive attitude towards learning. Keep it up Rosa! 

 

Oak class – Year 2 Mrs Moss 

Mark 

Mark is an absolute joy to have in the Oak class. He always comes in with a smile on his face and enjoys every aspect of his learning. Mark is working hard on his handwriting currently and I can see that he is really trying and taking his time, his writing has really improved this year and I am so impressed. Mark has struggled with his punctuality this year but again is working hard to be in school on time and ready to learn. Keep up the great work!  

 

Juniper Class – Year 3 Miss Mannion 

Charlie  

Charlie is an excellent role model in Juniper class. He always tries his hardest and enjoys all aspects of learning. He has a positive outlook to school life and always has a smile on his face. I have been so impressed with the progress Charlie is making. Well done Charlie, keep up the hard work!    

 

Hazel Class – Year 3 Miss Keane 

Lainey   

Most recently, Lainey has really started to show engagement and lots of enjoyment in lessons. You can see her enthusiasm in most lessons and in swimming was overjoyed when she could finally swim on her back. In RE she shows a real interest and enjoyment in others views and religions and is respectful when asking questions to enhance her knowledge. Keep it up Lainey 😊 

 

Alder Class – Year 4 Mrs Vowles  

Kaci Leigh 

Kaci Leigh always comes in with a big smile on her face and happily takes part in all her lessons. She’s a superstar in Alder class enjoying all the activities we do in Year 4 and always gives 100%. Well done Kaci. 

 

Aspen class – Year 4 Miss Grant   

Brayden 

Brayden always comes to school with a huge smile and is happy to throw himself into all his learning.  He is a super learner because he puts in the effort needed to make the best progress.  It’s clear to everyone that Brayden enjoys learning.  Well done Brayden! 

 

Maple Class – Year 5 – Mrs Unitt –  

Laken  

Laken bursts threw our classroom door every day with a huge smile. He tries hard in all lessons and is willing to give anything a go. He genuinely seems to be enjoying school at the moment and embracing his learning. He is a popular member of the class who always offers to help others, even when he can find things difficult himself. Laken you are a pleasure to have in Maples!  

 

Hawthorns Class - Year 5 – Mr Dallow  

Kyle

Kyle epitomises enjoyment. He gives his all in everything that he does and has a real love for learning. Kyle loves to engage in class discussions and will often question to learn more as he enjoys improving his knowledge in subjects. He will often make jokes and see the lighter side of things within a lesson which helps to build an enjoyable learning environment for the rest of the class.  

 

Beech class – Year 6 Mr Hales 

Olivia-Lee

It is such a pleasure teaching Olivia: she is an absolute joy. Whatever she is doing, Olivia brings with her enthusiasm, dedication and positivity. Myself and the other teachers she has in year six are incredibly proud of how hard she is working and the extra effort she is putting in as we move closer to testing. It is lovely to see the enjoyment that she gets as her hard work creates continual little successes and achievements. Well done Olivia. 

 

Birch Class – Year 6 Mrs Webb 

Evie-Mai

Evie is a joy to have in the classroom.  She has had a brilliant year so far because she works hard and never complains.  She is really enjoying her maths work and has made a massive amount of progress this year.  It is lovely to see the look of pride on her face whenever she completes a fantastic piece of work.  Having you as part of Birch class is wonderful Evie.  Keep up the positive outlook and hard work. 

Yew – Year 6 Mrs Jackson Mr Kelly Mr Rowe 

 

Ella 

Ella is an absolute pleasure to teach and her enjoyment and love of school is obvious to all. Ella is an all-round superstar, from her attendance, excellent attitude to learning, reading and homework, to effort in class.  As a member of Girl Power, Ella embodies her love and enjoyment of school and promotes that for others as a positive role model. She is always happy, smiling and wanting to have a great day, and she throws herself whole-heartedly into everything that is asked of her and more. An advocate of AICE! Well done, Ella, we are so proud of you.
