STAR OF THE WEEK

Theme: ACHIEVEMENT

Ash Class- Year 1 Miss Mannion

Alyssa

Alyssa has had a fantastic start to Year 1. She comes into school with a big smile on her face every day and is eager to learn. She always tries her best and has made progress with her writing already!  She takes part in class discussions and always listens to her teacher. She is able to work independently and has really impressed me so far. Well done Alyssa! Keep up the hard work.

Fir Class- Year 1 Miss Smith

Jacob

Jacob has settled into Year 1 really well, he always tries his best and he really enjoys learning new things. Jacob likes to take part in whole class discussions during carpet time and he is also a very kind and caring friend to others. Over the summer Jacob was also the first one in Fir class to complete the phonics booklet that was set, which is a super achievement! Keep up the fantastic effort Jacob, well done!

Oak Class – Year 2 Miss Stonehouse

Ellis

Ellis has had a fantastic start to Year 2 and has really impressed me. He has been coming into class everyday ready to learn, taking part in phonics and earning lots of stickers for his hard work! It was great to see Ellis completing his fact fluency work independently this week, adding 0 to numbers up to 10. Keep up the hard work Ellis, I am so proud of you!

Special mention – Theodore

Theo has shown us this week just how sensible and mature he is since coming into Year 2. Theo lost sight of his mum after being collected at the end of the school day and very sensibly came back to his classroom rather than panicking and waited patiently for mum to come back around and collect him. We were all so impressed with him for this we thought he deserved a special mention for being so grown up! Well done Theo.

Juniper Class – Year 3 Mrs Moss

Ronnie

Ronnie has settled into year 3 brilliantly. I have been so impressed with his attitude towards his learning and how focused he is during lessons. I have been particularly impressed with Ronnie’s maths work and how independent he is using the equipment and completing his tasks. Ronnie is a kind and caring friend and will support his peers if he sees them struggling. Well done, Ronnie, keep up the excellent work.

Hazel Class – Year 3 Miss Shanley

Harley has been trying so hard in class since we returned and has settled into year three so well. He is participating well in every lesson and has been practising working with his classmates. Harley especially has a positive attitude when it comes to his maths lessons. Well done Harley, keep up the excellent work.

River– River has started Year 4 with a wonderful and mature attitude towards all of her learning. In every lesson, River has made sure that she has applied all of her knowledge in her lessons and has been willing to just give all new learning a go. As a result, River has achieved well in all lessons so far and I can’t wait to see her progress even further. Well done River! Keep it up!

It is brilliant to see this positive attitude towards learning and the impact that it is having on others within the classroom. What a fantastic achievement Jax, well done!

Beech class – Year 6 Mr Hales

Kade

What an absolutely wonderful start to the year Kade has had, he has made the perfect first impression. He has begun the year with a very mature attitude making sure that he is trying his hardest in each and every lesson and showing great responsibility in helping others. This is a superb achievement at the start of the year Kade – keep it up as these are the attributes that would make a great sports leader or prefect.

Birch Class – Year 6 Mrs Webb

Lewis

Lewis has started this year brilliantly! His attitude is fantastic and his work ethic in all subjects is outstanding. Our first science lesson is a perfect example of just how much effort Lewis is putting into his work.  He wrote an amazing prediction which was not only extremely detailed, but it used scientific vocabulary and some of his own knowledge of the world.  It was so good that he earned the first house point of the year. It is great to see super effort in wider curriculum subjects as well as core subjects.  I am really proud of you Lewis.  Keep it up.
