George helps Ayshia on the playground, understands Ayshia and is very patient with her. Ayshia is very lucky to have you as a friend George, well done!
Fir Class- Year 1 Miss Smith
Even though Teegan has only recently joined Yorkswood, she has quickly become a kind and caring friend to all of the other children in Fir class. Anyone that has been hurt or upset, she comforts and looks after. I am so proud of her and how well she has settled into Year 1. Keep up the great effort Teegan, well done!

Well done, Frankie!
Oak class – Year 2 Mrs Moss
Gracie is a lovely, kind and enthusiastic member of the Oak class. She is so caring to all her peers and likes to make sure everybody is looked after and ok. If anyone is upset in Oak class, Gracie is the first person to check they are alright and offer a hug. I love having Grace in my class, she lights up the room with her big smile and I love seeing her succeed in all areas of the curriculum. Well done Gracie, keep it up!

Charlie is an excellent role model and a joy to have in Juniper class. He is so thoughtful and caring towards his peers. He can work well with all children in the class and is able to work as part of a team. He has matured and grew in confidence throughout his time in Year 3. Also, he recently became a peacemaker as he is keen on helping others. I have loved having you in my class this year Charlie! Well done.
Hazel Class – Year 3 Miss Keane
I cannot praise Angel enough this year. She is such a thoughtful, caring girl and is always willing to help others. This year, she has built an excellent relationship with her class partner and is always there to guide and support them in all lessons, without even being prompted. Ange certainly demonstrates our inclusion value perfectly and we are so proud of her.
Alder Class – Year 4 Mr Nawaz
I have chosen Poppy as my star of the week because she is kind, caring and tolerant of everyone in the classroom. She always makes sure everyone has someone to play with and she tries her best to include everyone in conversations. Poppy has made me proud in our RE lesson this week when learning about Islam. She was respectful when asking questions and she really enjoyed the lesson. Poppy demonstrates our inclusion value and she should be proud. Well done!

Beech class – Year 6 Mr Hales
It is wonderful having Sarah in class. Regardless of what happens in class, she is ready and raring to go. Whether she finds the lesson difficult or easy, Sarah will always try her very best. With this attitude, Sarah always has something to offer in group and paired work. She has a kind and considerate nature that means she can work successfully with anyone in class. Sarah is a great friend and it is lovely to see how she interacts with them and constantly keeps their best interests at heart.
Birch Class – Year 6 Mrs Webb
Evie is a beautiful human being. She never gets herself involved in arguments and is always kind to everybody. Placing Evie in a group during lessons is easy because she gets on with everybody. She fully involves herself with group work and ensures that everybody else is also involved. Above all, Evie is a really good friend, and she has, throughout this year, made sure that others are not ever left on their own. If she notices that this is the case, she makes it her business to include them in a game or to go and check on them and chat with them. Don’t ever change Evie: you are a lovely girl.
Yew – Year 6 Mrs Jackson Mr Kelly Mr Rowe
Rylee is a fun and friendly member of the class, who tries to include everyone. He works well as part of a group, particularly in PE, where he listens and makes sure everyone is joining in. He participates well in lessons and though he can be quiet, Rylee is a popular pupil who gets on with a range of other children. He has a select group of friends that he is close with but he does also get on with everyone in the class. Well done, Rylee and always be the friendly person you are.
