Fir Class- Year 1 Miss Smith

Teegan

Even though Teegan has only recently joined Yorkswood, she has quickly become a kind and caring friend to all of the other children in Fir class. Anyone that has been hurt or upset, she comforts and looks after. I am so proud of her and how well she has settled into Year 1. Keep up the great effort Teegan, well done!

Elm Class – Year 2 Miss Fazal

Frankie

I have chosen Frankie for star of the week this week because he is a supportive and positive friend to all his peers. Frankie will always make sure that his peers are ok when they are upset or feel a bit sad. He will ensure they are taken care of and will go out his way to make his friends feel happy. Well done, Frankie!

Oak class – Year 2 Mrs Moss

Gracie

Gracie is a lovely, kind and enthusiastic member of the Oak class. She is so caring to all her peers and likes to make sure everybody is looked after and ok. If anyone is upset in Oak class, Gracie is the first person to check they are alright and offer a hug. I love having Grace in my class, she lights up the room with her big smile and I love seeing her succeed in all areas of the curriculum. Well done Gracie, keep it up!

Juniper Class Year 3 Miss Mannion

Charlie

Charlie is an excellent role model and a joy to have in Juniper class. He is so thoughtful and caring towards his peers. He can work well with all children in the class and is able to work as part of a team. He has matured and grew in confidence throughout his time in Year 3. Also, he recently became a peacemaker as he is keen on helping others. I have loved having you in my class this year Charlie! Well done.

Hazel Class – Year 3 Miss Keane

Angel

I cannot praise Angel enough this year. She is such a thoughtful, caring girl and is always willing to help others. This year, she has built an excellent relationship with her class partner and is always there to guide and support them in all lessons, without even being prompted. Ange certainly demonstrates our inclusion value perfectly and we are so proud of her.

Alder Class – Year 4 Mr Nawaz

Poppy

I have chosen Poppy as my star of the week because she is kind, caring and tolerant of everyone in the classroom. She always makes sure everyone has someone to play with and she tries her best to include everyone in conversations. Poppy has made me proud in our RE lesson this week when learning about Islam. She was respectful when asking questions and she really enjoyed the lesson. Poppy demonstrates our inclusion value and she should be proud. Well done!

Birch Class – Year 6 Mrs Webb

Evie

Evie is a beautiful human being. She never gets herself involved in arguments and is always kind to everybody. Placing Evie in a group during lessons is easy because she gets on with everybody. She fully involves herself with group work and ensures that everybody else is also involved. Above all, Evie is a really good friend, and she has, throughout this year, made sure that others are not ever left on their own. If she notices that this is the case, she makes it her business to include them in a game or to go and check on them and chat with them. Don’t ever change Evie: you are a lovely girl.
