Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at Yorkswood Primary School is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to safeguarding all children and we expect all staff, volunteers, parents and visitors to share our commitment.

At Yorkswood all our children have a fundamental right to be treated with respect, protected from harm and feel safe and secure when in school.

 We work with our families and sometimes outside agencies to safeguard our pupils. Our staff have a duty of care to report any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Leads and always act in the best interest of the child.
