Maths is taught every morning in Year 2. We use the Power of maths scheme of work alongside White Rose to deliver the mastery approach. Children are encouraged to use their individual maths equipment (concrete resources) to model and demonstrate their learning in various ways and to show their methods when problem solving.

We also ensure children are fact fluent (knowing facts mentally) by the end of KS1 and practice these skills regularly. This half term we are focusing on adding 10 to a 1-digit number.
