Maple Class – Year 5 Mrs Unitt

Finley

I cannot believe the development in Finley’s maths confidence this year. He has really developed his mathematical understanding and is able to apply it to a range of different contexts. At the beginning of the year, Finley would rely heavily on others but now he is an independent and effective learner who is able to demonstrate his good understanding of concepts through using mathematical vocabulary in class discussions. I am very proud of the progress that he has made.

Hawthorns Class - Year 5 – Mr Dallow Ghazl

Ali

I am so proud of Ghazl. She gives 100% in every maths lesson, and this is really paying off. She is eager to answer questions throughout the lesson and is always willing to help others. She has made great progress when multiplying and dividing and has now mastered the ‘bus stop’ method. Keep up the hard work Ghazl!

Beech class – Year 6 Mr Hales

Olly

Olly is a fine mathematician and he works well in all areas of maths. There have been instances though in the past where Olly has been prone to making little mistakes that have had a bearing on the outcomes of his answers. I am really pleased to see that Olly has been striving hard to correct these and I am seeing a concerted effort with his number formation and showing all his working out which has drastically improved his accuracy. Well done Olly.

Birch Class – Year 6 Mrs Webb
