English in Year 6

English is split into Reading, writing and SPAG. The children are organised in different groups for reading and writing (SPAG being taught through writing) and have daily lessons.

In May the children have a SAT for reading and SPAG. The children's writing will be assessed at the end of June to give a teacher judgement on their ability.
