Safeguarding

Safeguarding

At Brambles Day Nursery and Out of School Club, we comply with the procedures approved by the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. (LSCB). We aim to create an environment in which children are safe from abuse and which any suspicion of abuse is promptly and appropriately responded to.

Children have the right to be treated with respect and to be safe from any abuse in whatever form.

The Nursery and Out of School Clue are committed to protecting children and promoting welfare by establishing and maintaining an environment where children feel secure, are encouraged to talk, and are listened to.

We recognise that because of the day-to-day contact with children, staff are well placed to observe the signs of possible abuse. We have a duty to be aware that abuse does occur in our society and remain alert to any issues that raise concern in the child’s life at home or elsewhere.

We will work with children, parents, external agencies and the community to ensure the welfare and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life.

Our safeguarding policy can be viewed below or copies can be obtained from our office.
